We are celebrating Ocean Week 2023 alongside the rest of Canada as the country with the largest coastline in the world.
We have built an expert panel to be with us on June 3rd to talk about their work and connection to how water shapes us.

Katie Morrison, the Executive Director of CPAWS, Southern Alberta Chapter and Shannon Frank, the Executive Director of Oldman Watershed Coalition will be here for presentations and a panel discussion alongside local artist,
Karen Tamminga-Paton.
Karen will be giving an artist talk on her time as an artist working with the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition at the IMPAC 5 conference (the Fifth International Marine Protected Areas Congress) in Vancouver this past February.
As a way to engage students in learning about watersheds and the water system, we are hosting another community mural inside of the Lebel Mansion.
The 2nd floor has a wall that needs a little love and what better way to engage kids in a local community space than to have their help painting a mural on the wall!
