Jr. Guild Members will have the opportunity to experiment with using specific types of glazes or underglazes, and using the wheel or hand-building. Each semester kids get to grow their skills and work on the projects that interest them the most!

Every great artist starts with the fundamentals. In this hands-on drawing workshop, students will build a strong foundation of skills they can carry into any artistic direction-from realistic drawing to illustration, painting, design, and beyond.

We’ll explore observation, proportion, shape, line, value, perspective, texture, and the building blocks of drawing through fun, approachable exercises and creative challenges. Students will learn how to see like an artist while developing confidence, patience, and their own unique way of drawing. No experience necessary- just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to draw!

About the instructor:  Kelsey is a local artist and teacher. She’s been teaching for 10 years and specializes in art education where’s she’s been teaching at Livingstone school. Kelsey really enjoys fostering the creative spirit in her students while also giving them the tools and skills to be successful!
