The Lebel Mansion and Allied Arts Council of Pincher Creek highlights and features.

2026 began with a little extra something special for the Allied Arts Council of Pincher Creek and our home the Lebel Mansion, features on CBC Radio with a building tour, and an article on on CBC news!

Early in December 2025 our Executive Director Kassandra Chancey was invited to attend an Out Your Way meeting hosted by folks with the CBC, an iniative that brings together CBC and public libraries in communities around Alberta. These events connect community leaders with journalists, opening up doors for conversation about what is happening across Alberta in smaller communities, not just the larger urban centres.

Thank you to the Pincher Creek and District Library for hosting and including us!

The next morning before we knew it Kassandra was hosting a tour of our beautiful home for what has become two really lovely featured peices focused on our organization, the folks who built it, and the community that keeps it alive, one on CBC news, and a radio featuring on Daybreak Alberta!

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Spiitsi and the traditional Treaty 7 Territory and the oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy including the Piikani, Kainai, the Stoney-Nakoda, Siksika and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We honour the true story of the land and its original inhabitants. We acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
