Throwing Bigger Works with guest instructor Gary Uchikura

Saturday and Sunday March

23rd & 24th from10 -5pm

Calling all potters who want to grow their skillset and make bigger work- this special two day workshop is for you!

In this special two day workshop you will cover some areas that need special attention when learning to throw larger work on the wheel.

Gary will teach you how to dry fresh clay to the proper consistency, center large amounts of clay, and all about timing and assessing when to add the next pieces for multiple stage pots.

The focus will be on throwing big initially, but Gary will also show some slab and coil building methods if the class is interested.

For this two day seminar, you do need previous experience with wheel throwing and should be able to throw cups and bowls, and simply wish to take the next step into throwing large pieces.

$235 per person includes all materials, firing fees and instructional time.
