In this two part workshop you'll spend a morning in the ceramics studio creating your very own set of six cereal bowls using an anvil press. After your work has been fired you'll return to glaze your creations.
Mushroom anvils are a great tool you can use to press slabs of clay into shapes- like cereal bowls! The anvils you'll be working with were made locally with special care by Twin Butte maker Neil Stewart.
No previous pottery experience required
$135 per person includes all materials and firing fees.
A Collage of Silks with Esther Neufeld

Create your very own piece of living cloth, a beautiful felted and hand stitched collage with Esther Neufeld. ages 18+

Materials provided for this course will be silks, merino wool, needles, and enough thread to make a solid start on your project.
Throwing Bigger Works with guest instructor Gary Uchikura

Calling all potters who want to grow their skillset and make bigger work- this special two day workshop is for you!
In this special two day workshop you will cover some areas that need special attention when learning to throw larger work on the wheel.
Gary will teach you how to dry fresh clay to the proper consistency, center large amounts of clay, and all about timing and assessing when to add the next pieces for multiple stage pots.
The focus will be on throwing big initially, but Gary will also show some slab and coil building methods if the class is interested.
For this two day seminar, you do need previous experience with wheel throwing and should be able to throw cups and bowls, and simply wish to take the next step into throwing large pieces.
$235 per person includes all materials, firing fees and instructional time.
Sewing Basics with
Mondays April 8, 15, 22 and 29th from 6-8pm
Join Laura Rance with her 35 years of sewing experience for this four week sewing basics workshop where we'll work with reclaimed and recycled fabrics.
Bring along your personal sewing machine and Laura will help you get to know its quirks, or if you don't have one of your own let us know and we will provide one.

Mindful Writing Workshop with guest author

Join writer, editor, creator, and educator Ashley Holloway in this fun, engaging 3-hour workshop to explore your inner creative being through different writing activities and prompts designed to inspire.
Don’t worry if you are new to writing or mindfulness; everyone is welcome.

The Allied Arts Council is opening up its boardroom on Wednesday afternoons for artists to meet up and work together, chat, collaborate or just hang out and make connections.
Started in the fall of 2022 by Heidi Bengry, this Wednesday artist meetup is a place where artists can come work in a space together for a few hours with no instruction provided. This is a great opportunity to meet up and chat with other creatives in your community, get advice, critiques or work on your own with some company. Bring your supplies, some inspiration and your latest works!
*Individuals 18 and under interested in participating in The Creatives Meetup must be accompanied by an adult. *
