WINDOW PROJECT

Have you heard the exiting news?
In the summer of 2025 the Lebel Mansion got some much needed updates, with brand new, energy efficient windows a long awaited and much needed update to our beautiful, historic home!
This Town of Pincher Creek led project was many years in the works, and will help keep us warm in the winter and cooler in the summer, helping sustain the building long into the future.
The Allied Arts Council would like to thank the Alberta Government for their support for this project through the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) small projects funding stream. With their support of $84,500 towards this project awarded to the Allied Arts Council in August of 2025, we were able to help support the Town of Pincher Creek led project.
One of our favourite things about this building is how it can be a great example of how past and present come together, with new exciting creative experiences happening in a historic space. Taking care to ensure the exterior sandstone sills and interior window sills remained in tact, this project is a great example of how historic spaces can join function, efficiency and practicality with respect for historical spaces.
New, double pane, air tight windows to replace our old, rotting single pane windows will make a noticeable difference in our day to day lives here at the Lebel. We must admit, we are also looking forward to what we hope are reduced energy bills- especially during those cold winter months!
