The purpose of this lesson is to introduce the basic techniques of working with clay by creating pinch pots. Actual clay can be used but this plan will use air dry baking soda clay which we will make as part of the lesson. Store bought air dry clay could be substituted.

Students will learn basic techniques of working with clay including:
Rolling - pinching- adding - pressing - making coils - texturing
